Noisette Foundation

In our democracy it is vital for citizens to work together with zeal and mutual respect to directly address community problems. Corporate for-profit and non-profit citizens share the same responsibility to develop and to enhance healthy, sustainable pathways for economic and social success by those in our community who are striving to succeed. This is no great burden because we actually experience our greatest satisfaction as human beings when we serve each other and our community.

The public and private sector must work together to nurture and to respect each person’s need for quality education, health, economic opportunity, family time, and a chance to enjoy the natural beauty, art and culture of the Lowcountry.

Vision

The Noisette Foundation works with the people of North Charleston to build a healthy, sustainable community where neighbors help neighbors and work to improve their community by solving problems together and by celebrating their local art, history and culture.

Foundation Mission

The Noisette Foundation is a catalyst for collaborative neighborhood re-development in North Charleston. The Foundation identifies local community strengths, listens closely to residents and promotes successful local projects. It studies persistent social problems and works to enhance neighborhood problem solving through research, advocacy and the development of relevant solutions.

The neighborhoods of North Charleston must offer each citizen a healthy pathway to lifelong learning, career development, housing, an appreciation for our coastal environment, local art and culture and the deep satisfaction that comes from contributing to one’s community through service in the interest of others.
